1992 Black ZO-7
I have a triple black 1992 Corvette ZO-7. My corvette has a LT1 350 cubic inch corvette engine with a ZF 6 speed manual transmission, ZR1 chrome wheels, shorty headers and a full stainless steel Billy Boat exhaust system on the car. When we purchased the corvette in June of 2004 the car needed a lot of engine work it was blowing antifreeze out the tail pipes. After bringing home the corvette on a trailer my son and I pulled the engine, tore down the engine and inspected all the parts and found out the problem was a blown head gasket. Let me tell how I came up with the name of the car “Just a bit of Kryptonite” a few years before we bought the corvette my son and I were at Maple Grove Raceway in PA. and we were watching fastest street cars in the nation run the ¼ mile track a beautiful black 1957 Chevy ran the ¼ mile 200 mile hour pass ET was 6.9 between rounds my son and I went into the pit area to look at the 1957 Chevy and the owner was working his car, his trailer was parked in the background with the music playing loud the song Kryptonite by 3Doors Down was on, after that moment every time I heard that song I thought of that time my son and I were looking at the beautiful black 1957 Chevy, years go by we purchased the corvette and we are at home in the garage working on the engine of the car with the radio on and the song Kyrptonite starts to play and at that moment I said to my son do you remember when and he said yes and I knew that would be the name of the car since it is also black. When we bought the corvette we were told the that it was the 1,000,016 corvette built. My wife did some very extensive research and got in touch with the Corvette Museum in Bowlings Green, Kentucky, the museum verified the vin number on our corvette against the vin number on the 1,000,000 corvette that sits in the museum, we were told that our corvette is definitely the 1,000,016 corvette it was built July 2, 1992. Our corvette currently has over 117,000 miles and gets over 30 mpg highway we enjoy driving it and taking it to car shows. The car has won numerous awards throughout the states of Pa, Md, and Va.

Welcome to the CAC "Black 92 Z07"

Great story about the "million and sixteenth".

From a ride/handling standpoint, Z07s were the ultimate in C4s.

That would be a keeper. Great Story. :w
