I think my Blackwing needs cleaning,I have the kit,but does anyone know a safe way to do this?I don;t want to screw anything up like over oiling or something. Thanks in advance!;shrug

I use a bucket of water, soft brush and Simple Green to clean mine. I recharge with a mixture of mineral oil and alcohol mixed in a spray bottle. You spray it on and the alcohol evaporates leaving the oil.

I used the cleaning/recharge kit specifically made for it. I use the sprayer attachment in my sink to rinse it out/off. One of the most important things I think is to let it dry completely before re-oiling.

There is a little pop-up device that goes from green to red that tells you when to clean it,but mine is still on green but its been on the car for a couple years now and I'm thinking it must need cleaning by now right?;shrug

yea-but my blackwing has been on for years!you would think it would have changed color by now right?;shrug

Does anyone have a stock air bridge for my '98 coupe they would like to sell?
I'd like to do a little experimenting.

PM me.

Bill

Then I would clean it! My car isn't a daily driver so mine can go for years.

Same with me. Going at my rate, it will be a long time before I'll have to clean mine. Might even have a C6 Z06 before that happens! :L
