i,ve completed serviceing my cooling system(replaced radiator) now how do i install the new coolant without creating air pockets,or better yet how do you bleed the air from the cooling system?
thanks boonie

On my 92 lt1 there is a small screw on the thermostat housing that will allow you to bleed most of the air out of the cooling system. I was a little surprised at how little coolant is in the system. good luck robert

Look for a second one on the throttle body. I think that is the highest point in the system.

Boonie, I posted a thread on bleeding a LT1 cooling system. My method worked great on my wife's LT1. Do a search, under forums, on "LT1 coolant bleeding". Hope this helps..Frank

Some one posted a tipusing a clear hose to put over the bleed screw and outher end in resivoir.I tried it and it and it worked good didnt get any fluid on the opti that way.

Glad the hose trick helped you Madstacker. :beer Frank
