Awesome pics - thanks!

p.s. - why is your hood open while you are driving - to help with cooling?

No, cooling is fine. Despite the 400 sbc, 100 degree temps, and a ton of traffic the car never got hot. The electric fan set to come on at 190 hardly ever even came on. Guess the Be-Cool works.

The latch on the drivers side doesn't always catch and vibrates open. I also lost the brass lock nut thingy on the drivers side cable during the trip so I just left it open rather than fight with it. I got a new mid year brass thingy:D before I left which seems like a better deal as it has 2 set screws in it instead of 1 like the solid axles. I just hope I don't get gigged for it when it's judged;LOL ;LOL ;LOL

They'll never notice it. :eek

Good to hear you have no cooling issues, because I bought the same Be Cool radiator for my 59 (with a 383 stroker). I'm planning on using a stock shroud (modified to fit the radiator) and belt-driven fan, instead of an electric fan. I was just concerned because I'll be running it in the Texas heat, and the Be Cool footnotes said "350 hp maximum." I was kind of wishing now that I bought the Dewitts radiator, especially since I had to hack on the fan shroud with the Be Cool radiator set-up.

I just used the Be-Cool fan with no shroud as per Be-Cool. I was wary of the 350 HP rating too, but seem to have no problem at 550. :D . I can't imagine any worse conditions than last weekend for overheating. I got stuck in traffic on 80 numerous times. One time traveling less than 30 miles in two hours and no problems.

If I was using the original shroud and fan I would use the Dewitts without a doubt. It wasn't available when I first built the car.

Awesome pictures. It gave me something to look at tonight. Thanks.
