I am the proud owner of a 1978 Silver Anniversary that needs to be restored as it had been neglected by its past owners. If someone has removed the body from chassis can you please advise the finer points i.e position of slings ,do i have to support front end etc.bolt torques after replacement of rubbers.

Welcome to CAC insiswe!

Congratulations on the 78!

I am doing a frame-off right now on my 78. I have it down to the frame, and will be building back up in the next few months. Here is a link to my posts of when I lifted the body off the frame. The pictures are no longer on the post, but you can read about how everything was done. Here is the link: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28394

Hope this helps!

Thanks to all for a prompt reply .I will keep you posted.
If you want it done right then you have to do it yourself.
Thanks again.

Easy, that should have said if you want it done right for little money, then you have to do it yourself. Also there is a company that makes good tooling for this that I have used many times on customer cars www.accessiblesystems.com
