Getting ready to buy all new front end parts for the BB conversion on my 65. The new coil spring that was suggested for a BB motor to mantain original ride hight is a "460 Lb" Spring.

So I did a search here and couldn't find anything on this. Experts please check in. How About It Heaven...What did you use in that Monster of yours???

What is the poundage that the original BB coil spring is rated at for a 65 Coupe? I will be installing a GMPP ZZ454/440 Crate Motor. Will the 460lb spring do the job as far as a stock riding hight and standard handleing?

Why not just go the same route as Bob and put in the traverse spring.. Ya know while your at it... Dave.

Heh Dave....Not really looking for a change in hadling performance. I just want the car to be like it is now with a BB. It rides great with the Radial Tires and handles well.
