I saw this in a magazine article recently I cant remember what magazine. 11.97 @ 118 MPH Is this a commontime for bone stock 04 Zo6?

It dynoed 363 RWHP

Thanks, Jason

It was a GM High Performance magazine. I've read the article and it's somewhere online. A member made a reference to it with a link. I'll try to find it and post the link.

363 at the rear wheels would be about 427 at the flywheel, which is in the normal Z06 range. The 118 trap speed is about right for that amount of horsepower. But the 11.97 et is amazing! The tester must have some mad driving skills. :beer

Motor trends web site has a video of a Zo6 doing 12.4@117

That magazine article also had a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds

Driving skill is right!!!! Go look at Corvette Fever's site. They have an article ZR1 vs Z06. The testers were getting 13.1 and 12.8 respectivly. The owners of the cars then raced heads up and both were setting at 13.9. The ZR1 won the drag race between owners because of reaction time. The both had the same heads up E.T.

I have run 12.4 at 113MPH several times at 2600' elevation. That would be pretty close to 12 flat at sea level. I added drag radials and a VaraRam, and was much slower before those mods.

Go by motor trend, they get the best LEGAL #s out of factory stock cars. Everything else is?????

Seen it done before! However, these drivers also own pro-stock cars pushing 1,200HP. They bang the gears like we turn on a light switch. If I attempted to race like them, well lets say car parts anyone?

I would love to see a true bone stock ZO6 running in the 11's. If it is, show us the time slips AND be honest, absolutely NO mods and on the original Eagle F1s. I'd like to see it. IMHO, it can't be done and those that say they've done it aren't running all original stock configurations. :nono

If it's a GM test car then you can bet it's a ringer.

I think Ken is right. They probably blueprinted and balance the motor and tweaked the computer. But so what. Anything that'll run 14 seconds or less out of the box is plenty fast . Let's not get too greedy. :)

I might be able to believe hi 11's if a set of drag radials and a smoother shifter. Its impossible to keep the F1's under it even withthe traction control on.
