Bored .040 over ?

Who many horses on a 1972 350 bored +040 over ???
mayby a stupid question but i ask anyway.

If all you have done is gone .040" over-size on the bore, used correct over-sized pistons and rings, resulting in the same compression-ratio, and are using the original cam, heads, intake, carb, etc., I doubt you'll see much, if-any, change in HP/TQ from it's original specs.

ALL that you have really done is make sure that the cylinder-walls are 'round', and that the chamber is 'sealed' via new rings:
those 'extra' 7" of displacement won't do THAT much for you.....

Agreeing with Glensgages ; at stock ratings of about .8 HP per cubic inch , you'll see about 6 hp and 3 ft/lbs .

sorry i ment +040 over

this is what i have
4 bolt main 350 bored +040 over
edelbrock carburator
edelbrock performance intake
edelbrock performer camshaft & lifters
comp cams roller rockers
rebuilt unleaded gm heads 1.94 intake &1.50 exhaust
hardened pushrod guide plates
p a w hardened spark plug wires
k&n oversized air filter
mallory ignition & unlite distibuter
flow tech headers

anyone ho has an ide of how many horses this 350 gives me????
norway
thanks for any ansers.

norway:

which Edelbrock carb, which intake, what cc heads, which pistons producing what C.R., what exhaust, etc......
:confused
ALL of these little things matter greatly when making a 'guesstimate' (and that is ALL any of this really is here) for your 357" SBC.
:upthumbs

If the motor is in-pieces (un-assembled), post any additional info (part #, sacting #, etc.) here, and maybe someone will offer-up a suggestion.

Sorry I can't be of more help.....;shrug

The best metode to determine how many hp you have, is to run the car on a dyno, then you don't have to guess. If you live in the southern part of Norway it's easy to find one.

.0040 over? Mine is .0040 over...heres the specs.

intake: RPM air gap
carb: mighty demon 650 (mech 2nds)(cause of the cam duration)
cam: Edelbrock 7102
.234 I duration .244 E duration @.50
heads: dart 2.02 iron eagles
64 cc chambers 180 runners
block:350 4bolt .0040 over
rocker: comp rollers
Hooker Super Comp ceramic headers
dual point billet dist
munice 4 speed

horsepower (at flywheel) making around 427 @3800 rpm
torque (at flywheel) making around 444 @3400 rpm

norway, with those small valves you'll be lucky to see 300 h.p.
flow equals go, there's not much flow through those valves.mike

Thanks Vidar

I will run the car on a dyno.
The corvette moves more than i need,
but i yust wont to no how many horses i have.
