The main reason I got the C3 was cost. I found a decent one for 6500 dollars, and I can really do most of the work myself. It is not a primary vehicle, so if it sits in pieces in my garage for 2 weeks it is no biggie. After ordering incredibly expensive parts for my Land Rover, the Corvette is a nice cheap car to have.
