Bose Radio-am/fm static

Please help me to troubleshoot. Cassette works fine on all speakers. Radio was working but now all I get is static on all stations. Antenae goes up/down and is connected to the CDM box. Thanks! :confused

On my 88, I also get static when playing the radio. But its not that bad yet.

Contacted Doctor Dons. They tell me it is the CDM (radio receiver) gone bad. Quoted me $110 + $10 s&h to have it repaired.
