My Bose stereo starts blasting so load that some day I going have an accident.
Has anyone had this problem with his or her Bose system? I will be playing the radio at a low or normal volume, then for some reason the stereo starts to blast at full volume. I turn it down and it goes right back to the normal volume. This happens maybe once every other time that I drive the car. I have turned off the front and then the rear speakers with the fade control, but it still happens at both the front and rear, so I don’t think it is the speakers or amps. I have the Bose Gold Series in a 96.

Any help would be wonderful and you may be saving someone life, like mine. :w

John, I'm not much help in the stereo dept but I just clicked on your link to check out your car. Very sharp! I really like the power of the LT4's:)

Welcome back into the Vette world. Great looking car.

Have you tried changing the position of the ¨SCV¨ switch?

:CAC

Welcome! I agree, you have an excellent looking vette!:beer \It may be as simple as checking on the SCV knob.....be sure its on LO, if its on HI the volume goes way up as your speed increases accordingly.

Thanks all for or help and complements. I did not even know I had a ¨SCV¨ switch. It was set to the HI position. I will turn it off or to LO and see what happens. Thanks again.:w
