brake bias spring, DRM

Just got new bias spring for my 85 from Doug Rippie Motorsports.
Cost 13.00...and a slice to install....remove warning switch, unbolt screw cap on end of master cylinder, remove cap, spring, and o-ring. then remove combination piston. Remove snap ring on piston, remove stock spring from inside, replace with new spring reassemble, reinstall. Bleed brakes from all 4 calipers and you are done.

What this does is change to percentage of braking power from front to rear, normally it is around 75% front, 25% rear. This supposedly adds 13-15% to the rear making car more stable and less nose dive when braking. Cheap mod but I love the results car handles much better when braking and the distance is also shorter. Not bad for 13.00....

I have considered this mod for some time. Sounds easy enough to do and will give the opportunity to replace the brake fluid with fresh stuff.

I agree that this is a great mod for $13.00 (USD).

I didn't notice much (if any) difference puttering around town but when you nail the brakes at speed the car has much less dive and feels better balanced.
