If your brake booster is going out will the brakes still work but you have a real hard pedal, the pedal seems alot harder then it has been, I havent driven this car in over two months and my trucks pedal is real mushy so Im may just be worrying for nothing here but thought Id ask. It goes down what seems to be about an inch or two of travel then its like it hits a rock and the car starts slowing down. Just dont remember it being like that before. Thanks

I just did a search and found another thread on this subject, Im not hearing any hissing that sounds like an air leak, only the squish sound of the brake mechanism, I guess, but its not a hissing air leak sound and when the car is off the brake pedal pumps up hard then when you start the car you can feel it release and it goes down.
I may be alright and just forgot how the car drove. I definately need to get that car out more often. It stays shiny though.
