Ok, I seem to understand this now. For 43 yrs I've had a different idea of what a master cylinder does. At this time I have no leaks anywhere in the brake system and my brake pedal does not have that spongy feeling and have good brake feel. Thanks to all for the enlightenment on master cylinders.
