I have a 1994 the brake lights stop working
I check the fuse it was ok I change the brake switch
still nothing the blinkers work and the center brake light work
and the hazard works what do you think it can be

Since the center high mount stop light and the blinkers both work, the brake switch and other wiring is obviously OK and working. So the only thing left that I can think of would be the Hazard/Turn Switch Assembly.

Another possibility could be the the wire (WHT) or connector (C204) between the brake switch and the hazard switch. The LT BLU wire goes to the CHMSL and should be ok.

U must have 12vdc feeding/leaving the STOP/HAZ fuse, as the CHMSL works.

Check for 12vdc at the brake switch, white wire w/ pedal depressed.

Expecting similarity w/ the '90 schematic:

Yellow wire feeds left; DkGrn feeds right tail stoplights. Both exit the Hazard switch, which is top, right hand side of steering column. The white wire feeds it from the brake switch; PPL from the turn flasher and BRN from the hazard flasher.

As those lights flash with both turn & hazard, you know that the circuit past the switch is okay, as well as the ground to the bulbs.

If the feed to, and the output from is okay, perhaps the connection to the switch is bad or the switch itself is faulty.

brake switch

Make sure there is only one stoplite switch. Did some work on a 2000 gmc other day had same thing . signals and third lite work ...brake lites didn`t. If not wiggle the turn signal arm ..Ihave seen lots of them go bad on trucks...and it might just be the companation switch Good luck.

brake switch

Okay just loooked at my wiring manual ..mine is 90 but should be same. It shows two wires coming out of stoplite switch. One directly to third lite ...other to turn/ brake lights double check the stoplite switch first place i would look

You guys have been great I am going to work on it this weekend
I will let you know what I come up with

Brake Lights

If anyone will ever have this problem that I had this is what I found out

when I would move the tilt up and down the lights would come on and off
I found that the white wire was under the steering wheel was broke it was a
quick fix I just cut the wire and put a jumper wire between them
