I tried Brake torquing for the first time tonight in my '81.. wow what an experience. My question is how safe is this?? Excess wear on brakes? Driveline? Also, I reved it up to about 2,000 rpm, no tire squeal though.. what is the optimal rpm range to launch it? I found the lack of tire squeel odd... They are new Goodyears, and extremely well planted, but I can usually break her free pretty easily (near stock L-81 and th-350). What is everyones experience and advice?

Excessive wear on all of the above and then some. If you have the means and or time to care of the problems that will arise then more power to ya.

I certainly do not, Brusso. Thank you for your input.. first and last time.

We all have to just to be able to say that we've done it. Like you indicated, I wouldn't make it a habbit.:Steer
