Hi guys one question Ive replaced the rear brake pads on my C4 are the fronts just as easy ? I heard that they are not .I do not want to get into something I cant fix. thanks walt;shrug

Walter,

I'm moving this post from the C1/C2 section to C4 where you may get more answers. ;)

You should be able to get them done in 30 minutes! They really are that easy.:D

Just a single pin holding the brake pad on there with a C-clip keeping the pin from sliding out.

Might also be a good time to put fresh brake fluid in there. Brake fluid is cheap and since you've already got the wheel off, it isn't too much more work.

I would call it easier. You don't even need to take any bolts out. I have never changed brakes on anything as easy as my vette. :D

Edmund thanks for a quick respone it is appreciated, and its time to get started thanks again Walt!!!!!!!!

Walt,

You don't say what year you have, when I did my 85, they were the easiest I have ever completed. It took about 30 minutes including cleaning the heck out of everything. I also took the time to tape off and paint the calipers adding additional time, but well worth it. I do not have ABS so it is very easy, generally ABS just adds a little more time to ensure you do not damage anything; take it slow and you will be fine. Good luck

I've changed the front brakes on my 90 a few times. It's easier than changing the pads in the rear :upthumbs
