Hi Everyone,

I am planning to replace my stock break rotors and pads. Can anyone recommend a brand name and where to get it? Thanks. :beer

Brake Rotors & Pads

Hi there,
I have changed all my 97's rotors and pads thru www.rockauto.com They have some really great prices on stock gm parts as well as some high performance items. I stuck with the stock replacements for both the pads and rotors and did the work myself over a weekend. There are other vendors that you could check out such as Ecklers...i have several catalogs from them for my C4 & C5. Good luck with your project and enjoy the ride! Rufus

I can vouch for sportbrakes.com, also. We bought drilled and slotted zinc coated rotors for the '02 almost 4 years ago, and they've been just fine. They look great, too! :upthumbs

I personally have not switched to ceramic pads, but I've heard it makes a world of difference. I plan to do the change on both Corvettes.

Thank you for all your inputs. Did you ever try ceramic pads? Do they really make considerably less dust?

No they don't. They dust just as much as other pads, if they didn't they wouldn't be working, or they would chew up your rotors. I still see just as much dust on my chrome wheels with ceramic pads.
