It is official, as of today 6/15/03 TZracer took his 71 super freaky big block coupe on its maiden voyage. He first went around the block, then headed for my house to top off the a/c freon and go for a milkshake at Sonic.

This is a HUGE achievement, as TZracer plans on driving his 71 coupe (aka Bruiser) to Bowling Green for the 50th!!!!! He now has 36 miles and all is well.

For those of you that don't know, Dave and I have worked very close to complete my 69 aka Killer and his 71. His project has been one year to the day behind mine in terms of hitting the street for the very first time. Yep....one year ago this very weekend was my first drive as well. How ironic? Not to mention, I gave Bruiser the flare job and did a little massage work on the body. No wonder it and Killer look so much alike...eh?

Enjoy the pics.

This one is the first shot we had of it rounding the corner to my house.

Here is Dave and Sue as they pulled up in the driveway.

I don't think those grins will come off their faces for a long time!

And the moment we have waited for a long time to see.

Bruiser and Killer in the same driveway....running!

Here is Dave taking a photo opportunity next to his pride and joy.

Man....you won't believe the wicked sound of two big blocks roaring through the JCL spiral baffles....SCWEEEEEEEET!

Well, I had to take a photo opportunity too.

BTW, if you want to learn more about this radical BB coupe, go to

www.tropiczoneracing.com and click on the race car, then on the 71 street vette project link to your left.

Next week we will terrorize the local cruise in with the big block beasts.

Yessssssssssssssssss!

Congratulations Dave and Chris!

I know you guys put in alot of hard work in on Bruiser. Seeing both Killer and Bruiser together looks cool! But I bet seeing and hearing them together in person is just awesome!

Great work guys!

Bill

It's like...

...moving in stereo!

Bruiser & Killer look like they could be twins!
Heidi

That's just plain cool...

Of course, now that you've said how great it sounds to hear them both running at once, you're going to have to post an audio clip :D

It must be great to do a project like that, and have it come to life. Upgrading a piece at a time is fun, don't get me wrong, but doing everything at once, and then firing it up, has to be like getting a new car. But one that is exactly how you want it :)

WOW!:love

Hey Chris, will both of these cars be at OctoberVettte this year?

WOW.......
I'm speechlessssssssssssss
that is just too awesome, so I guess its my turn to step up to the plate and get mine done.....

Yep!

Hey Dave....maybe you can shoot for having yours done in time for Octobervette in Kissimmee next year.

That way the three of us, plus Black Thunder (another black big block flared monster) can all cruise it together as well as Rick with his awesome black 69.

Congrats Dave & Sue! What a change from seeing Bruiser in January. I need to come down for another pizza party :D.

:w
