I did the bulb replacement on the LCD cluster on my c4 , I got all the info off the members on this site and just wanna say thank you , it was very easy with the right info and tools.
I used a heater hose hooked up to a vacum to pull the bulbs , one of them was stuck so i used a pair of needle nose pliers but what I did was use black tape around the edge of the plyers so it wouldnt break the bulb , worked out well.
I replaced the bulbs with 194 , I tried others but they were a bit to dark to see in the day time , they cost me $1.00 each and took me about 35 minutes to do. They had 7073 bulbs in them and I couldnt find them less then $40.00 each , which i think is insane.

As you can see from the photos my dash was all dark as I only had 1 working bulb but when I was finished it looked brand new , that always attracted me to this year vette.

Thanks for helping out a new member , I hope the photos look ok so I may help out another member in the future.

I bought mine at advanced auto , most parts stores sell them.

I found that the 194 bulb is a wire over type and won't work. The 891 bulb is the one I am going to use,its the only one that has the wires sticking out the end.

I just also finished a friends vette also , just find the 194 bulbs where ya can because they work great I double check for a heat problem and have had none at all , they have metal caps in place and that helps as well ,there are only 4 bulbs , its gettting them out thats tricky but if you follow what i did above in my first post you will be fine , the 194 bulb works great.

I think there may also be 12V LED bulbs with the same base. LED bulbs will last longer and no heat.

If you decide on using LED based replacements, make sure you find the ones that distribute the light to the sides of the bulb. LEDs produce direction light.
