can anyone tell me exactly where the burn off relay for the Mass airflow sensor is? I've been told it's behind the pass. side hush panel, is this true? and also if you could tell me the number that should be on it that would be awesome. I'm not going to lie, I haven't looked there yet, but I know there are tons of relays in the car so figured I check and see if anyone here had any additional information before I dive in. Thanks guys

On my 88, the burn off and power relays are located behind the battery on the firewall. Most people replace both at the same time since they're so inexpensive. Len:w

They are behind the battery on the firewall, both are actually the same part. You must replace them both.

vader86 and nyernga are cvorrect. I'll try and post a pic, but they're plainly visible. I think when I looked mine had two different PN's but they are the same.

For anyone else reading this thread, not ALL years used the same Part #. Make sure you do your homework before replacing. :)

scorp508 is absolutely correct. You 86 owners need to be especially careful when it comes to MAF relay advice. Per GM TSB 87-270-6E Jan. 1998 the relays used on the 86 are different. GM part numbers are Power = 10067925 and Burn Off = 10094701.
