C-2 Speedo Stopped

My speedo and odometer ceased working , before I bought the car I told the dealer to fix it, he did somthing cause it worked for a couple of weeks. What normally goes wrong if the guage is OK? I understnd one may lubbricate a speed cable somewhere as an initial fix attempt. Where and what would one lubricate? rjones@aurorapower.com

Alot of times, the gear set inside the speedo is worn and not meshing correctly. That was the case with mine.
