1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
So over the last year I have been finishing up some odds and ends on my 62.

when I built the car I installed the ididit column with the corvette wheel adapter and used a budnic wheel and an original horn button

I never had the horn working with the horn button was there something else I should have ordered ,what did you guys do to get the horn to work

Some of the things I finished up

1-installed stereo amplifier for the speakers & installed an ipod adapter to use the ipod in the car.
2-finished off trunk cardboards and caperting
3-fineally installed the convertable top weather strips (still have to figure out how to adjust the top better)
4-finished off the A/C hoses and charged the system (now car will run warm in stop and go traffic 200 degrees. I want to find a 12 volt switch that I can install in the water side of the system that will will open above 205 degrees that I can put in series with the compressor

Larry:
I am using an Ididit column in my '59 with a stock steering wheel. I just wired up their connector and the horn worked fine.

Thanks Charles.
For some reason I get lazy and look for the "Magic Pill" Fix. A fellow at a show told me I was missing a part that’s why it didn’t work.

I found that I had a bad ground on the column so if you pushed the button and the ground wasn’t there, the horn would not work. Once I got it grounded proper. Every time you would turn the wheel to the left the horn would blow .I found I had a short, the screw that holds the blinker in place was too long and shorting a wire behind it. I shortened the screw and all is well now. So thanks again,

Here are some pictures of the stuff I got done

this is where I finally put my heat and A/C vents. I was looking for the perfect vents since I started the car (Billet) I never found them so I just put in the cheap plastic ones that came with the unit

My new stereo amplifier . It makes the music sound crystal clear

My newly carpeted trunk. I cut masonite to fit the sides and back and then covered them in carpet. I also installed a battery tender and trunk light

Yes. Nice work. That trunk light is a good idea.

Larry,

Now you gone and done it! You are going to force me to finally finish out the trunk on mine as well. I still have not got around to carpeting my trunk.
