This weekend my wife's sister dropped off her 3 kids for us to watch for the weekend ages 4, 6, & 7. The 7 year old asked several times if he could "screw something on to the Corvette", you can imagine the visions flashing through my mind.
He is too smart to accept a bogus "busy" project so I had to find something legit. I realized that I had never reinstalled the dust covers on the 2X4 WCFB carbs. I covered the fender and exhaust manifold area, lifted him on to it and let him loose with the only caution being don't drop any screws down the carbs! I handed him the parts as he needed, with no other instructions. He correctly set the gasket then the cover and then inserted and tightened the screws. He repeated the process for the second carb. I was really amazed. He is really into the car now and wants a ride to school in the fall. Another Corvette Enthusiast is born, wait till his Mom finds out.
