Not At All

I'm very partial to C1's, I unfortunately get a real "uneasy" feeling when I read a "certain" name connected to a classic vette. It usually means double the price or something not what it's said to be. (From personal experience) Keep 'em coming Bob;)

I Tried.........

To be very subtle and not bash or bad mouth anyone. We had this scenerio quite some time ago with another member here asking questions about them. I PM'd the person and said I'd only give them MY knowledge in private and not in the forums as some people thought there was nothing wrong with what they do. Matter of opinion, I have mine, you have yours, rightly so, but mine comes from direct dealing and a very good friend with a 62 also, and the rest of the people involved in the suit. OOPPS, did I say that?;) ;LOL

Gee, Bob, are you a fortune teller or a mind reader? I wonder why you thought that................

Pretty car. Many out there of course. But I get greater satisfaction from reading about those of us who have bloodied knuckles rather than clean hands and deep pockets such as is typically needed with the place in Ohio. Just a thought.

Paul,

Although I too admire and appreciate the do-it-yourselfer (after all I am one), it's the car that I value. When I determine my rating for a car, I don't care if the owner built or bought it. In most cases, I won't even know.

However, my rating of the owner is a separate matter entirely. I'd rather spend time with Joe Mechanic and his self-built 1st gen. Camaro, in his backyard, than with Billionaire Paul Allen and his "purchased" exotic cars.

If he's a:beer drinker;)

That's a beauty but what is with the trunk lid. The left rear corner looks like it is up quite a bit above where is should be. Just surprised to see this on a triple crown winner. :confused

An optical illusion of light refraction caused by the unsettling transition of warm summer to cooler fall air in the Canadian Maritimes region....that and the need for a bigger hammer. :bang

I win!!!!

I had a little bet with myself that the first response would mention the "dealer". :D

Thanks Lou. ;LOL
you would have won with me also, altho my personal experiance is limited to one visit and a few phone calls, I would go elsewhere;LOL

The front plate is the first thing I saw too. They do have some nice cars just too rich for my blood.

i noticed the front plate also and said oh well . also saw the left rear corner of the trunk i did my car my self and probably not a triple crown but a real sweet ride and the corner of my trunk is the same maybe the mold. now i don't feel so bad about mine;LOL ;shrug :duh steve

Could the trunk fit have anything to do with the weather stripping on your car. Mine fit good when i took it apart but I am concerned about putting it back together with new weather strip and a new fiberglass trunk latch housing.

Thanks for the science lesson.

My 61 has the exact same raised trunk on the left side. I'll keep watching to see if anyone comes up with the reason why and the way to correct it.

Dennis,

This post served a greater purpose after all. It got you to register and contribute.

Welcome aboard. We're glad to have you. :beer

Yes. Welcome Dennis and your '61. :D

the trunk lid fits much better without weather stripping . i have tried 4 diffrent kinds and some were real bad . i bought the last one at carlile a it was the best yet but still sits high on the left side :hb :ugh . it may have been soft seal do not remember but it was very forgiving and hollow .some are more solid and hollow and others are just soft and solid the worst ones . the last one was the closest to original i found;) steve
