Wally,

Remind me to get the answer to the wallyknoch / Ironcross thing some day. ;)
You got a twin with a twin '62? :L
Do they both have original wire wheels??? :)

Wally,

I sure never meant to imply that all 61-62 cars had this issue, but a lot of them do, and it is always at the same place. Just like the bottom rear corners of the door sticking out on a 58-60 car. My 60 had doors that fit perfect, and had never been reworked, but that did not stop judges from questioning them! About the only part that never fit well from the factory, was the headlight bezel to windsplit moulding, but I spent a lot of time to assure that they do on my 59 resto-rod!

Regards, John McGraw

I know you didn`t John. Those early vettes were not the best in fit anywhere. My biggest complaint I had was that the car was not even completely painted, it had brown primer showing through the black paint in the drivers door cove. That plus it was so wavy and rough that I had one smart ass Eastern pilot ask me if I had crashed it before it was a week old. Black paint sure showed every flaw. There has been a lot of serious block sanding on my 62 to get it smooth. Not NCRS correct I guess, but its for me not them. :L
