Getting ready to install the brake/clutch pedal assembly and was wondering if the plastic pedal bushings should be greased or installed dry? :confused

If so, what type?

Thanks, :w

I installed mine dry, but I've been wrong before. ;)

the bushings are bearing material very often used dry

lite grease will lower friction slightly

"dry" steel will rust ( you probably saw dk red in old bushings)..rust then abrades bushing

i use vaseline--no odor,no stain if it drips

I also have use a small amount of vasoline in all of mine and there has never been a problem.

Use Lubriplate.

Correct! They're designed to be used with Lubriplate or gray moly lube; if you install them dry, they'll wear rapidly. Note the illustrations in UPC 5 (brake pedal) and UPC 7 (clutch pedal) in the A.I.M., and you'll see the grease callouts for all of them.
