Okay, those of you who have been following the saga of the new "specially-designed" C2 fenders.......they're heeeeeeeere! FINALLY!

From the beginning of the search to arrival took just over one full year! :eek

I don't have time to unpack them today, but photos are coming soon in Chapter 14 of The Rebuild of a Legend.

Finally! :Twist

Hooray!:J :beer :booty Okay now, that's enough celebratin lets get to work. :D

So are you down to just body and interior work?

Steve

The engine and transmission will be last. When I started this, the 502 looked like a likely candidate. Now it's too tiny.

With Chevy offering the 572, who knows what's just around the corner? Engine will be last. ;)

I guess if we were really nice we would have driven those fenders up to you from Colorado. Nah, to cold up there in the great white north.

Oh,..Nikki, my better half, and also known as C5_Nik, wants to know where you got that "Danger, Men Working" sign?

69MyWay,

DANGER, MEN PLAYING :upthumbs
I had one of my clients, who runs a sign shop, make it up for me. When the boys are over (talking summer weather here), we set it up in the middle of the driveway, in front of the garage. That's the clue for our better halves that vittles and privacy are the order of the day!
;LOL

fenders

I can't wait to see the new flares. Hopefully, they'll be as good as your friend in Colorado promised..... :D

Cool. Nikki knows an ex-student of hers that works in a sign shop. Sounds like we need to give him a call.

Hi gang! Nice to see everyone here;-)

I can't wait to see those cool fenders! Let me know if you need any help installing them.

Welcome Fuelie,

Nice that you could join us here.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the warm welcome:)

I am looking forward to stopping by here more often.

67, great to hear the fenders are here! It' been a long wait. Very much looking foreward to the next chapter in the rebuild.

Fantastic fenders. Can't waite to see them installed.

Tom

'67,

Those fenders look fantastic. Is the quality as good in real life as it looks in the pics?

They look "almost original" :D

Now the real fun begins!!

From the pictures, the quality looks very good, 67Heaven. How do they look in person? Do they attach at the normal bonding strip areas? Are you going to be doing the work yerself??

Mac,

They do not attach at the factory bonding strip location. The reason is so that they can allow for more of a "bulge" in the upper fender area than stock......thereby allowing me to screw her down real low on the 'biggie' wheels. :D

If they attached at the stock location, I'd probably try mounting them myself, but I think I'll let the pros cut off the old ones and attach these. :bash

I confess that I've been so busy in the business since they arrived that I just pulled them out of the boxes and shot the photos. From the cursory look I had at them I'm very pleased with the quality, but I'll know more after a trial fit.

I guess it's official now. I'm rebuilding this car. ;LOL
