Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

C2 fenders are FINALLY here!!!!

67heaven, the fenders look great. Here is a little tip I learned the hard way. Measure the wheel openings to make sure they are the same. Mine weren't and the restorers didn't notice it until the car was painted. The only reason they finally noticed it was because the drivers side tire would catch the fender in about the first tread. I ended up having it cut open and you really can't tell. Just a whole lot easier than replacing the whole thing and reshooting the car. Actually, the easiest would have been to catch it in the first place. Classic

Great looking flairs! What I like most about them is that the original beltline isn't lost around the wheels.

Oh, and geez I finally found out where everyone is! This looks like a cool place to hangout!

67.....I must say that I too am one that loves a well done custom that has all the looks of a race car, all the style of a sweet street machine, and it does not lose the original classic lines that make the car special to begin with.

This is a FINE line to balance on. I took major heat from many a person during the Fender Flare body mods portion of my project. Especially since I only had the 15x8 rims and tires sitting on the car while I worked it up.

The day the 18x9.5 front and 18x12 rears showed up at my front door, everything started to pull together. Many of those that were scoufing at me changed their tune.

The flares you have purchased are really nice because they meet my above definition. Mating that to some serious rubber under the car puts you over the top.

VERY NICE!

Now, if I could just talk you into stepping into a 17 or 18" rim in one of those crazy Vintique designs that still looks like a ralley rim, we could get your ride all the way off the hook.

I wish they would have had those when I had my '67 coupe. It was a modified car with a built and chromed big block anyway so those would have been killer!! Sorry for the pun Chris.

Welcome 67AirCoupe. Yep, You found the right place.

Tom

I thought it was official from the time you started installing those offset trailing arms? Or was it from when you stuck that new transverse front spring? Or maybe it was from when you started pouring the POR-15 onto the stripped frame and started seeing angels and fairies from the fumes?? ;LOL

to the tune of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

Picture yourself in a Vette on a roadway
With transverse front spring and a big block engine
Suddenly, it happens; the sidepipes are roaring
You pushed the loud pedal again

67's Heaven is flyin'
67's Heaven is flyin'
67's Heaven is flyin'
Whooooaaaa....

Yeah, good thing we didn't have POR-15 in the '60s or I'd still be flyin'. ;LOL

WOW those opening are HUGE

I thought the tires you had were going to be too big for any fenders you could find now your tires are going to look small compared to the opening

Best of luck I am sure you cant wait to get them hung

IH2LOSE,

Here's the direction we're going in.....
IMAGINE THIS white 'vert as a Tuxedo Black coupe with Rally Red stinger.

The end result being very similar to this '65, but without breaking the belt line at the wheelwells.

By the way, the white 'vert above has exactly the same fenders by the same manufacturer on it. One slight difference......thicker fiberglass for the street.

Get busy with the glass my man
BTW Did you research the BFG EURO 305/15 50 tires for the rear

Thats what I have on Thunder

I think you guys are old hippie's! You've gotta come out here to the Kootenays where the rest of your kind has ended up!

This is a better view of the way the flares look. Mike Donohue's #33 car was the actual "pattern car" for the mold that my flares were made in.

Great lines. Looks stock but fatter. Does that make sense?

Beautiful. I think I need a mid year too.

As I read in a car magazine once and try very hard to live by, "Your only once but can be immature all your life".
