1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
Well I power washed the bottom of the car today,
Doing some more detailing getting ready for the rear end swap.I have a question the steel plates that hold the seatbelt boss's/bolt housing,s should they be raw steel? or painted black. And the same question for the seat track bolt retainers.

Thanks again.I have been in the garage all day Ill try and post a picture after I eat

All the underbody riveted reinforcements were dip-primed black, except the thick nut plates for the seat rear bolts - they were natural, unpainted.

IH2LOSE,

What do you use to power wash with ???

I raised the car up on my lift,I then sprayed the entire bottom of the car with a solvent cleaner that was in a yellow spray bottle.I will get the name of it ,It was the only enviromentally safe solvent I could find I purchased it at an auto parts store.
My pressure washer is a gas powered 4200 psi washer. If I had to rent one I would have rented a steam genny one because the steam ones melt the grease right off. I know gunk or keroseene would have worked better but I do what I can to protect the enviroment. After I sprayed it I let it soak in and any heavey stuff I scrubbed with a brush.I then sprayed again let it soak a while then used the power washer.Use caution because the power washer actually took the paint off the frame NO PROBLEM.Be prepaired to get filthy and soaked. The stuff just runs off the car on your head
