I almost forgot but this year there was also a international meeting in Holland called Fame. The total number of vettes was disapointing in my oppinion but there where 3 german c3's that caught my attention.
The first was bright red and i know it from the internet.. Upgraded with a nice block with 4 carbs if i'm correct, and the thing nobody saw. All around coilovers and brembo's!
The last was a blue c3 with a LS1 block in it, maybe this is more seen in the States but not here in Holland. But what was standing in the middle. On the outside it looked like a normal (driven!) old c3 with the hood open. Everbody just passed looked and walked on but when i came closer i saw the intercoolers and the L98 block with black valvecovers and intake.. Whoow this was very nice :D
By far it wasn't a show car but this was a masterpiece of techniek put into a c3.
I have a few photo's so you can take a look..
Also notice the lift intercooler is alterd to stay clear from the brake booster :( In my oppinion just keep the original intercooler and take a hydrolic brakething which is smaller and another fluidreservoir. But then again, the intercooler was alterd in a very nice was without distroying the thing.

I also looked out for Robert (bluewasp) but he wasn't there i think.. And Arie had his latest vette a body off restored c1 with him.

Seems like someone might have gotten creative after possibliy getting rearended. Does anyone remember the Callaway Twin Turbo engine from the rolled landrover? Too bad someone didn't do the same with that engine instead of letting in rot.

:cool

What did the hood look like? In the one shot it doesn't look like it's got any underside ducting to the intercoolers. Were there ducts/scoops/blisters on the top of the hood?

Peer81, I moved back to the US this past DEC! :( We plan on moving back in two years or so. I'll be there for FAME 2007! :)

I didn't take my photocamera to Fame so the picture's are from a friend who took some. Now i see the picture's i wonder where this engine is getting his air from.. There also where no ducting or blisters. But on a c3 there is a space about 2 inches between the radiatorshrout and the hood to pass air through. So maybe that is enough if he doesn't put to much load on the turbo's.

Here some more pic's:

Robert, i hope in 2007 FAME will still excist. This year it was good weather and you didn't need to sign up to enter the event. The entree for the entire weekend was just 10 euro's but still only 50% of the field was filled. The promotion for Fame this year was around 0% but they said Fame 2006 will be there.. From there we don't know..

Groeten Peter.

I did not went to the Fame, so I do not have pictures available.

according to the Dutch corvette forum there were lots of people who brought their camera.

Peter, will you post a thread on the dutch forum or shall I ?

Jeroen, you do the honors, the picture's are from JP ;)

Groeten Peter.

For those interested in the red C3 w/ the 4 IDA webers and the blue 82 w/ LS1, the blue 82 is from someone named Didi and the red one is from Jörg Vogelsang, owner of ACP in Euskirchen - Germany. http://www.acp-euskirchen.de is the website, the cars are both in there and there's a link to didi's pages which features pics of his car. There are a lot of other nice cars and misc. things on the ACP site so be sure to check it out.

Hey JP...it's going steady...as always, slow but steady :)

I have the front & rear suspension finished, cage installed, front steer setup worked out....working on the details now.
