C3 hood adjustment

I don't recall there being an "adjustment" for the center front of a C3 hood. If the front of the hood is low but the corners are at the right position, it may be that the panel is warped or damaged. Or it may be that the car's front body work is faulty, ie: there's nothing wrong with hood but the center of the nose is at the wrong height.

Is it the original hood or an aftermarket replacement?

Has the nose ever been repaired after collision damage?

Here is a fairly recent thread on "Hood Alignment"

Rather than repeat, look at the second post, I describe the adjustment you are asking about ;)

Good Luck and Welcome aboard enjoy the :Steer

( I'm new at this )

My 78 that has never been in a wreck has a hood that sits low in the middle (between the wheel wells) and the corners up by the windshield sit high. I know there are rubber bumpers that were glued on at the factory (or dealer) to adjust it and I see where they were glued on my car at some point in its life ( I think one still hangs on for dear life)

When I repaired my 70 after an accident, there was a rod that adjusted the surround panel to line up with the hood.

mine was low in the middle(between the wheel wells) as well,
I bought the rubber bumpers a few years ago,and put them on and
GENTLY let the hood down and sit in in the afternoon July sun to let it find its shape!!!

Mine had the same problem.
What I did is a little risky. Put some extra shims between the radiatorsurrounding and the wheelwells. On mine (because you're making the front wider) the high point came down a little, or it was only in my dreams. :)

Greetings Peter
