1975 Red Roadster with White Top
I recently completed a restoration of my 1975 Roadster. Due to some "cloudiness" of the windows I opted to install replacements. Unfortunately, the alignment has been a nightmare. The windows were advertized as fitting all years 68 through 75 but after struggling with the alignment issue I've done some more research and have found some suppliers that have one offering for 68 through 73 and a different window for 74 and 75. Can anyone verify whether there was a different window used in 74 / 75 versus earlier C3's?
Thanks,
Jim

My GM parts catalogue shows no difference in coupe windows 69-75. 76-79 door glasses are essentially the same but do not have th Astro-Ventilation scripts.

:)

Compare the old glass to the new.
I had a Ford Van that my wife shattered the drivers side window when her Seat Belt flipped off.
The replacement window was thinner that the original. Had to go to Ford and get OEM glass that fit.

Update

Thanks -- with the windows installed the comparison will be tough but needs to be done.

Also, it appears the Astro-Ventilation script was only put on non- A/C C3's that had the Astro-Ventilation option. Some of the literature suggests the script windows were completely discontinued sometime during the 1974 production run.

Astro-Ventilation is a generic trade term GM used for the standard fresh air ventilation system installed in pretty much every Chevrolet beginning with the 1968 models. It does not refer to AC; AC cars also had Astro-Ventilation window scripts.

:)

There is a difference between convertible and t-top windows, did you get conertible windows???
