1993 Convertable Blue
I have looked all over the internet and have not found the specs on 0-60, 1/4 and top speeds for the convertable model. Does anybody have any idea? I also wanted to know if the digtal speedometer will stop at a certain speed per settings from the factory?

Is there any way I can move the water pump so it won't leak on to the....

Thanks.

That helps thanks... How much HP does the stock engine pull for these do you know? Thanks.

Find out the answers to most of your questions here:

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/1993/index.html The "Production and Performance" and "Specifications" links will have your answers. The "factory" 1/4 times are pretty slow. A well-tuned motor and a set of drag radials should get consistent 13.5's at about 105-108. Of course reaction time and some skill helps. 12's are doable with a few mods.

The digital speedo should read to 255 as the CCM is an 8-bit processor. The car is capable of 160MPH speeds but will take a pretty long run to get there. I was able to get my 92 vert to hit 160 just briefly while going down a very gradual hill.

It would be pretty hard to move the water pump as the factory oump is a direct drive by the camshaft. A small shaft connects the front of the cam to the pump. There is an electric pump conversion by Meziere you can use as a replacement for the stock pump but as far as a remote pump, that would be pretty difficult. I ckeck my pump every few months by sticking a finger under the pump housing to check for any signs of leakage.

The 95 ad later Opti's had a vacuum line running into the cap that kept moisture out. You can install it but it requires a new 95 and later cap and making a few mods to the housing and you have to install a tee for a vacuum line.

Thanks that was really helpful, Do you think I can the car up to the 170-180s mph range?

The 90-95 ZR-1's were easily capable of 175 + top speed and that was with a HP rating of 375 and 405 in the later cars and it probably a conservative rating. You would need some pretty serious mods to reach that sort of speed with an LT-1 based motor. Figure around 400-450HP and you would need a stout tranny to take the HP and torque. The coupe would be a better cholce for that speed simply for the added strength and aerodynamics of the rear.
