C4 Beam Plates: If u don't have 'em, get 'em

Just got my car back, before the 6 inches of snow hits Central Pa tonite.
Had a set of C4 beam plates installed, along with full length headers to my Callaway exhaust system, sans resonator and Hurst short throw shifter.

If you don't have the C4 beam plates, get 'em. Previously, under hard acceleration in the 1st three gears, the rear end would swing out. With the C4 beam plates the car hold a straight line. Even in 1st gear, with the tires spinning, it holds straight and true and hooks up quicker.

I've had them on my LT1 car for a long time. My initial reaction is that they did stop any abnormal deflection of the drivetrain. And, it makes the installation of the C-Beam bolts 100% easier. No more using vice grips or a shortie wrench all the way in the top of the tunnel! :cool

I know most guys don't go as far as removing the center console when performing transmission work; but when I did with mine, for ease of access to the top bolts on the transmission I took a hole saw and cut a couple of holes directly above the bolts. Sure makes it easier to properly torque 'em.
