Question: C4 Brake upgrade to C5

1990 L98 Dark Red Metallic Coupe
im looking into upgrading my rotors/calipers to the C5 size.

this link here is the set im looking at --> Vette Brakes & Products, Inc. - Detail

i have the stock 1990 rims (17")/calipers/rotors.

and i have no idea if the will fit inside these rims. and im not looking into getting new rims, because i love these ones...
 
You can't use that brake upgrade with your saw-blade wheels. The description of the product at the link you posted states you must use 94-96 "A-mold" type wheels.
 
i think i just answered my own question.

"Requires 1994-96 ZR1 A-Mold wheels or 17" X 9.5" Wheels"

lol.... im pretty sure they are 9.5" wide.
 
Corvette Wheels

on that website it says that the stock wheels (1990 base) are 17" x 9.5"
and the brakes from VB&P says they fit in 17" x 9.5"

what is the 9.5" for? the depth of the inner rim???
 
When I did brake upgrade on my 89 the problem was OEM 9.5 wheels have a hump in thee center of the rim.
I installed 50mm chrome GS wheels 9,5 front and 11" rear
Stock wheel will NOT FIT over larger brake.
