I am having a code 36 problem. The car was running like heck. I have checked the connections on the maf and both relays. I know the burn off relay is working because I saw the wire heat up. When I unplugged the maf it kills the engine. When I unplug the power relay it does nothing different. The car is running better but still hesitates when first accelerated. What does it mean when the car stalls (1985 C4) with the maf unplugged? Should I notice a difference when I unplug the power relay? Any thoughts? thanks...Jim (bosh maf)

Do you have a K&N filter is my first question.

Second yes the MAF being unplugged creates a load of problems which will result in stalling.

Is there another relay with the same values as the pwr relay in the box. If so just try one of the others (switch them) see if it makes a difference.
