This may sound crazy but isn't there a threshold to what is too much power for non-oval track use? :L

I agree with Vettelt193 there is no maximum limit for power on the street.

I believe that all of the stock C4s are now under powered to successfully compete on the street, (ZR1s included).

However, I am from the camp that if your retinas are not detaching when you leave a stop light you need more power. Boy I miss my old 70 LS6.

What do you mean by compete on the street?;)

There are lots of faster cars and many of them have more seats! Nothing sucks more than some soccer mom beating you off of the line!

it should be obvious that the stock transmission won,t hold up forever under double or triple the torque loads with a bbc engine installed, so this might help (i found this great write up on the 4l80e trans swap over on the crossfire vette site) THANKS JOBY!!!!!!!!!!!

u cant beat cubic inches...always been true, always will be

regardless of engine size, ultimate power limit will be fuel octane, dictated by compression ratio whether simple mechanical or increased by blower, etc.
a 350 with 14:1 comp does 750 hp--common nastycar--but its hard to find gas for it, and at 9 grand life expectancy is short...a mountain motor with 10:1 comp on pump hi test will put out as much power at lower rpm, last longer, and cost less..u cant beat..

if a little is good, more is better, and too much is just enough
