Help! C5 3rd brake install

Does anyone have instructions or know how to get to the 3rd brake light
to replace it. I bought a 2002 corvette it has alot of glue and tape on it
and I would like to replace it with a new one. Also any suggestions on the
pulsating lights. Any good or any suggestions.

The C5 third brake light is an LED unit. If the unit has gone out the entire unit needs to be replaced. There are two bolts that hold the unit in that are accessed by removing the rear plate holder.

3rd brake light

Hey Jim,
I have removed the rear plate holder and the lights and still cannot
seem to get to it. I don't know if I did know if I gave up to soon. So you
are saying you can take off the rear license plate holder and can reach
the 2 screws holding the 3rd brake light in place and unsrew those and
can remove it. Let me know if this is how. Thank you Barry
