Question: C5-C6 Console Switch?

Is it possible to switch a C5 console out with a C6 console without much modification? Im currently looking for my second vette, and being a teen, you know i want to personalize it, but dads vette isnt the best one to work on. Dont worry, i understand keeping the integrity of the origional vehicle, and thats why i dont want to modify it. Thanks for any help.

Anything is possible; but I would think since you are dealing with two differant types of vehicles there would have to be modification involved. Do you just like the C-6 console better than the C-5? If I was serious about this I would look up both in a parts or service manual to see what it would take. Again anything is possible just can't see it looking like it was made there since they are differant animals all together I would think!
