any problem with the plate coming off or loose

Plate

I attached mine with the double stick tape provided. It's been on about 6 months or so. No sticking problems (or lack thereof) with mine.

Ok.. i wonder if i put it on now when it's cold here will that hamper it from sticking?

I don't remember reading anything about temperature, but it makes sense. Also, be sure to clean the surface (where you're installing) with alcohol (or suitable cleaner/degreaser).

2+ years here also on 2 vettes. I cleaned the entire area with Simple Green, let it dry, then wiped it down with de-natured alcohol just prior to attaching the plate.

I got some isopropyl alcohol to clean the area where the plate goes on..will this stuff be okay to clean it ?

Got the plate attached today.... it looks sooooooooo Good

Isopropyl leaves a film and plate won't stick as well. Denatured alcohol leaves no film. When applying anything with 3m tape, the best way to clean is first with mineral spirits, followed by denatured alcohol. As a former professional detail shop owner I always wondered why products that used 3m tape included isopropyl wipes? They simply did'nt know any better. Or, mabee they want the product to fall off so you can by another. You can get a can of denatured alcohol, and a can of mineral spirits at home depot, cheap. Those two cans will last a long time and you will be amazed at the difference in sticking power by prepping properly.

Muffler Plate

I've had one now for over a year, attached with the usual 3M tape, no problems so far. Have the car stored in cols storage over the winter, -25 degrees and it hasn't fallen off yet. Good Luck
