C5 Exhaust Rattle

There is a service bullitin on this. Does anyone know of a fix for this? Do some of the enhaust enhancements get rid of this or do other exhaust systems have the same issue? Thanks.

The "exhaust rattle" is actually a problem with the Alt and the belt tensioner. I know it sounds exactly like the exhaust as I have it on my 2000 convert with auto tranny. My car is going in for the TSB tomorrow which calls for changing the alt to one that has a Decoupler Pully and a reduced drive tensioner. I'll bet your car is a automatic and the "rattle" gets louder when the A/C is on , right? OK, the Technical service Bulletin # is 99-06-04-029A. I know, the noice bugs the dickens outa you!! Good luck, let me know if I can give you any additional info as I've found lots of C5 owners that had our problem and this TSB fixed every one of them. Ron
