1. Get one C5 in need of an oil change
2. Buy good quality oil and filter (I use Delco filters and Mobil One oil)
3. Get a pair of good quality drive up ramps
4. Position ramps behind rear tires.
5. Depending on how wide you are at the chest, consider putting a pair of 2x6" cut off boards behind the front tires so that it will lift another 1.5 inches
6. Back the C5 up the ramps. Leave it in gear (if a standard shift), set the e-brake, raise the hood, and open the filler cap.

**The drain plug is in the front of the C5 oil pan. This causes the rear of the car to be higher than the front.

7. Squeeze under, with a 15mm box end wrench, remove the drain plug and drain into pan.
8. Remove oil filter
9. pre-fill new oil filter and lubricate upper ring.
10. Make sure old ring came off with filter and screw on new filter.
11. install the drain plug and give it a good snug pull.
12. wipe off all excess drips, etc.
13. Start engine, look for leaks
14. drive off ramps and have a cool drink.

This is what it looks like.
