c5 technical seminar, would you attend??????

Hello fellow members,
I have been asked to run a technical seminar question and answer type meeting at a major Corvette gathering next year.
My simple question, would anyone attend?????
Please give a little explaination, if you would, with what you would like to see.

I've been thinking of taking my son, Max, if he can make the trip to the unveiling of the C6 Z06.

As far as technical seminars???? How about how to install a heads and cam in a Z06.

You can use my car as the guinea pig..


How about a technical seminar with cutaways on how the F55 suspension and shocks work on the C6..

Or how about the new variable valve timing thats rumored to be available on the C6 (along with three valve heads) that give 90 % of the benefit of the more complicated systems..at like 20% of the cost... (% 's are just a guess and I am sure are not accurate)

i would definitely attend if it were in my area. as for content, i'd break it up into sections (ie. engine, exhaust, computer etc). and just be willing to answer all kinds of questions.

I would be there. How much do I have to pay. I want to learn how to better maintain my baby. How to eek out a little more performance, how to better drive the car. What are the true capabilities of the car.

Understand, the key question for me is how much is this going to cost me. The benefit to me is obvious.

That would be great.......Why not take the most common questions and problems and present the most common solutions aside from "take it to a dealer".
Why not make up a "Corvettes for dummys" booklet to show the codes and all of the things an owner can correct them self?

Please understand my viewpoint. I've tuned at least several cars using a match book cover. Used both baling wire and duct tape as performance enancers. Successfully I might add. I've driven cars using shoe laces for the throttle when the cable broke.

My c5 has 13 computers to my knowledge. I am looking for both how to proper maintain my c5 and how to improve it's performance without compromising it's dependability. A well conducted seminar does take work and does cost money. While I appreciate the overall goal, I also appreciate the potential benefit that I woud derive.

I would completely support this.

Depending on my availability and the time/place of the event I would definatly attend.

As for topics... I'm very interested in maintenance issues, common questions on these and other forums often interest me as well. Electrical system/computer/suspension and engine systems are also interesting topics to me of which I have no knowledge of in my C5.

I’d make every effort to attend.
I’d like to see it divided up into sections like the manual
1. Engine and electrical pertaining to it.
2. DIC and code diagnosis.
3. Drive train and electrical pertaining to it.
4. Suspension and electrical pertaining to it
5. Accessories, CD players/changers, Covert tops, coupe hardtops, etc…
Good overall coverage, and one could really pay attention to his/her special interest.

Sounds like a great idea.........maybe more then one seminar at the event..........
Different topics could be:

Exterior care: (washing, polishing & waxing of painted surfaces;(It's amazing how many
people really do not know how to properly care for
the exterior of their car)

A seminar on the most common problems with C-5's (including adjustments of convertible tops.....har har)

A seminar on bolt on performance add on's.

Corvette's at Carlisle would be the place..............

I would definitely attend if it was somewhere within reasonable diving distance.

Bolt on performance upgrades and exterior maintenance would be two topics that I would find espescially helpful.
