I own an early model 2003 red coup. I have listed some minor-problems I have had during my first 17,700 miles of enjoyment. Even with these few minor problems I love my vette and will purchase another. I hope this information will help GM improve future models.

Window noise from air infiltration, heavy rain droplets collect & drip-adjustments failed to correct problem and became worse.

Passanger window motor replaced.

Tire sensors replaced.

Minor paint bubbling on hood repaired.

Passenger head-lamp motor replaced.

Front spoiler fell off-bolts came loose-parts were not damaged dealer bolted back on.

During window repairs, small plactic insert behind arm rest on driver side came off-clips broken on insert.

Driver side inside molding under fender lip in trunk comes loose-drops down & rattles-push togeather and seams to stay for a short period.

If the driver seat is lowered to its lowest incline and moved back,it appears to push on the body behind the driver-causing body fluxuation.

Not bad.. Enjoy.:)

2004 purchased Nov '03
No problems to date but the Texas summer is upon us......we'll see how she is after 6 months of that oven..........glad it's white!

C5 Warranty issues

It took two days but I just got the car back.

The dealer said they replaced a sensor to correct the head light not popping up.

Replaced the plastic door insert.

The loose body bolding in trunk was put back-seams tight. The customer service manager said this molding strip is held up by two strips of special tap and they have had similar problems. They used a more cohesive tape to attach this piece.

The window air noise, unable to pin point it per service man. I will let this go, since it usually only gets worse when they mess with it.

Hope the new C6 design has reduced road noise and window leaks. I have read they have. It was good to relax in my own car again.

2001 Z06 at dealer's yesterday - PCM reflashed for fuel gauge dropping to empty; steering wheel lock sometimes hard to release, they say they lubed the switch (?); driver's seat rock (especially when hard acceleration [VBG]) - found bolt broke in seat track and ordered new track @$725.00 - all under warranty

Wow! I have a '99 (21,000 miles) and it has not had ANY of those problems. Of-course it has had a number of other problems, though.

My 01 vert with 12,000 miles has never had a single issue.

Hey kccgeo; I have a question about your issue with the passenger window motor. What kind of problems did you start with? I also have an early '03 coupe & the passenger window makes a terrible clunk @times when going up. Have yet to determine if there is a pattern but it just seems to me when the window has been left down for a prolonged time ie; overnight or when riding for a few hours.

Regarding your rain problem, did they adjust the top? I have seen several references to this issue we folks that have both tops.

Best of luck with your coupe & thanks in advance for responding.

Thanks, The passanger window switch would just click. They had to replace it. They could not give a reason why it broke down. The window are usually up.

The air continues, they replace the strip along the window adjusted three times. Hopefully the new C6 has corrected this problem by lowering the window before shuting.
Good Luck.

2003 convert and here are the problems I have had so far:

1- rocking passengers seat
2- drivers door lock intermittent
3- leaking differential
4- leaking coolent res

The car is at the dealers now to fix the leaks. The other problems have been fixed by the dealer in the past no problem. Also have the exhaust rattle present but this will not be an issue when the stingers go on.

04 CE coupe, 4300 miles. Just started with the differential leak.
