C5/Z06 AUCTION PRICES

Was talking to our Used Car Manager this morning and he said that the prices of C5's are at least $4000 over clean book at the auctions. The Z06's are going about the same. He was really surprised. A 2003 Z06 with approx. 18,000 miles goes for $35,000 to $36,000. One must take into consideration that the price is before dealer mark-up. Last week my dealership bought a 2002 Millenium Yellow Convt. black top with 36,000 miles in the low 30's. Can't say exact price. I guess there isn't much of a loss after introduction of the C6's. Do know that there are dealerships here that still have 2005 along with 2006 Vettes in inventory. Amazing.

Wow. That's interesting and good to hear.

I've been giving some thought to selling my Z06 to buy some land. I'm still trying to figure out a way to rationalize keeping it, though.

tammy, they haven't made any land in recent years. they WILL be making more and a better corvette for years to come!!!! sell the car...buy the land. then buy a new car!!!!! simple, any questions?????
