Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

C5s check in please..

GM invited me to a "Ride of a LIfetime"

Drove the corvette at that autocross type event and it was all over....

I looked in the NY Newsday for the best deals..and ordered one up over the phone... 7 weeks later it arrived just as I ordered it.

Took the ferry over to manhattan..then the train out to Long Island. I have to say it was one fine ride home.

Although i traded this car in on a Z06..it will always hold a special place in my heart.

How'd you keep the Vette?

It is about all that I kept. We both had a vehicle with about as much debt as value, so we considered it a wash. We were married 33 years. I don't ever want to get divorced again. It sucked.

I bought my 98 red convertible (40K miles) this February from a friend who had bought the car new. I have known the car since it was new, even riding in it the week my friend bought it. The c-6 looks good, but I can't imagine a vette without retractable headlights so think I'll keep my '98 for some years to come. I'd have preferred a stick but will someday put a zo6 (or stronger) engine in it
