I'm looking into getting a switch but was wondering if any harm would be done just removing the fuse that keeps the exhaust in the performance (loud) position. Does anybody know if harm would be done to the car and if there is even a fuse to take out to allow this to happen?
Thanks!

There's a fuse for the NPP exhaust and you can pull it. I haven't heard of any 'harm' to the car for just pulling the fuse but the 'exhaust drone' inside the car can get pretty old after a while with the top on/up and the windows up.

I have the Mild2Wild switch on my car and that works pretty good. Mine is installed to have the car start in the "wild" mode all the time but when the top and windows are up, the drone is annoying. Pushing the botton on the Mild2Wild fod to kill the drone is a whole lot faster than stopping to put the fuse back in.

GM Junkie built and installed my mild -wild .It starts on which ever mode you leave it on.Since mine was his first I think he charged me cost ,$5 or so :D works great.

Thanks guys, where do I get the mild to wild switch and is it easy to install?

The NCM store sells the Mild 2 Wild NPP controller so if you are an NCM member you get a discount. You can also get it direct from Nakidparts (www.nakidparts.com) The installation instructions are on-line at Nakid Parts.

Depending upon duration, the "drone" can cause irreversable hearing loss due to ultra low frequency rumble. I already say, "Huh?" enough now!;squint:

Do you have to have NPP mufflers for this switch to work? Or does it open up before the mufflers?

You must have the NPP option for the Mild2Wild to work.

Hello, how can I do (what you have described) in your thread to my vette's exhaust system? It has NPP....does that make a difference? I'm not mechanically savy (when it comes to autos, but I'm learning) :D
p.s. I just read some the threads above yours. I see that I need to get a 'mild-to-wild'. Is this a switch or something? I remember seeing those on West Coast website....thanks

I bought a wireless 12 volt relay with a remote. Cost was $12 and installs in 10 minutes. My Z06 felt stronger with it open and the sound never got old.
