Callaway Cars annouced at the Corvettes at Crlisle show that they are now the exclusive distributor of the ultra-reliable and proven Magna-Charger superchargers for Corvettes.

After seeing the results of validation and the reputation earned by the products in use by oem manufacturers, the new Callaway SuperCharged Corvettes utilize this design in an exclusive package :cool

Also announced at the show on Friday, Callaway Cars is expanding! :cool

...stay tuned for more on this and other exciting Callaway related news :cool :v

The Vortec and Procharger kits will make more power than the maggie.
Sounds like it will be another over priced car with mediocre performance.

Reliable power, not just a "peak" number...

That is great that you have an opinion on the matter however, do you have facts, other than your speculation on more power?? What is the speculated power band??

Mediocre performance?? :confused Again, what facts do you have?? The ones I know are a 10.9@126 mph for the Supercharged 560 package from Callaway :upthumbs

Anyways,
The Procharger kits I saw installed on four different Vettes this past weekend at Carlisle each fit uniquely different - uniquely, meaning they were rigged to fit with a series of washers and other methods which looked like a shade tree job.

The Callaway-Magnacharger looks oem quality and when you consider the car is an engineered vehicle as such, complete with a 3yr./36k mi warranty and previous Callaway vehicles are recognized by leading publications such as the NADA price guide, CPI Price Guide, etc., I think it can rest on its laurels :cool

HAHAHAHA.....obviously this guy has no idea what it means to own a callaway. All I know is the new callaway supercharged blows away a new Z06 for less money...also I've heard of some of these cars going 10.78 down the quarter all WITH A 3 YEAR WARRANTY. AS far as overpriced maybe but who cares...its all in what you like..and we like our callaways..all of them. Go TT

That's great! I'm glad Callaway is expanding. I can't wait to see what they do to the new Camaro when it comes out!

If you like the Maggie thats fine with me I was just stating the facts a D1 or D1-R procharger will make way more power. Have you ever looked at the dyno numbers that the guys running a Maggie are making compared to the Procharger. Apparently not.

Again, it is more than a peak number - if the bolt on looks like a hack-job, then I don't want it.

The Callaway SuperCharged C6 pulls like a freight train and has the quality to back it - in addition to the quality of the installation, the product is reliable, which is important to most folks I know.

Is more than a peak number important to you in a package?? Apparently not. :beer

:eyerole Great another internet expert who's seen all the dyno charts and has no experience to back it up.

You came here and talk about numbers BUT you do not produce them We have our numbers for Callaways product. You did not provide any numbers to support your claims. 3 years worth of warranty you can't beat that or can you ... I don't think so.

It sounds as if he is comparing the cost of the whole Callaway package versus just the procharger unit, which you can't. Besides from the "Maggie" as he refered to it (lol), the Callaway package comes with recalibration, a new suttle hood, paint, badging, and warranty, backed up with 20 years of Corvette development and racing experience. Throw a procharger on a Corvette and try to resell it and then lets compare its value with what you get with the Callaway package.

And thats not even consider the other upgrades available for the C6; exhaust, suspension, brakes, and more coming down the road.

*sigh* this thread is starting to remind me of most car messageboards. Lots of flaming, lots of hardcore opinions, lots of name calling, and a whole lot of people getting annoyed.

If you want to debate centrifugal vs. roots blowers, do so in another thread...

What does that mean that they are the exclusive dealers? No one else will sell Manguson Magna-Chargers anymore? There appear to be many places that sell them for the C6.

When is Callaway gonna slap some turbos on something again? :lou

Aurora40: Good to see your still tracking the Callaways! having watched Callaways since the news of first ones hit car mags and having looked at the project report on Sledgehammer one thing I don't think Callaway will ever do is "slap" some turbo's on a Corvette. Their attention to details is why I'm a fan! I think these new C-6 Callaways are very interesting and am truly impressed with how LS motors respond to forced induction! :upthumbs

Heheh, of course that's not what I meant. Callaway has made some pretty awesome and unique turbo Corvettes. I'd love to see what they could dream up on something like a Z06.

Bob, The product for the Corvette technology is now the Callaway MagnaCharger and what that means is they are the exclusive outlet for the fitments we are discussing here. Other tuners can get a Maggie from Callaway of course

While at some point, turbocharging may appear again on Callaway Corvettes, the company has decided its forced induction offerings will be the supercharged variants on the C5 and C6 lines.

Enjoy! :beer

Nice car do you want to sell it?Big John.

560 Supercharged Callaway

After driving the 560 this weekend, I am thrilled to report it IS, the real deal. Every bit as strong and pulls like my twin turbo. I was very impressed! Mid-triple digits and barely breaking a sweat. Sings like a turbo too!
