Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

C6 in action...

A little bit complicated.

I found it on a french car forum with many fans of german cars (Porsche and Audis). They frequently explore the site of two german car magazines : Auto-Bild, AutoMotorUndSport. I often post about Vettes on this forum. When they found the film, they posted it on the forum for me... :J

I guess that the sypshots were taken at the Nurburgring in Germany.

Yep, the track parts are the Nurburgring for sure (the writing on the track is unique), and then it's interspursed with normal street driving (onto A61, a highway towards Koeln-Bonn (Cologne-Bonn)). Very kewl. Thanks for sharing..

Thanks for sharing!!!:D :m

Makes me want to plan a European Vacation with the vette!! ...Oh, and the wife too, I guess.

Thanks Brother, that was awesome.....

BTW, For everybody, FYI:

I went down to one of the Chevrolet dealerships in San Antonio today, to check it out. I'm one of those who just can't wait,... got it all coded out... I asked for MSRP and guarenteed allocation. The car manager said I'll do that and put it in writing. I said cool....! (I was ready to lay down some greens with conditions...) Then he said, let me go check it out with the GM to see how many of the early allocations are already spoken for. Come backs and says that the GM said no way on the MSRP, the first allocation is spoken for, and we are not ready at this point to allow a committment for the second allocation.:nono

Rick, if your listening, I might be giving you a call.....

Wayne :cool

That was awesome!!! Not much engine noise but alot of tire squealing. I hope the real one has more engine noise and less tire noise...guess that could be just the video.

It did look like those guys were really getting on it with little back end drift. She stayed straight as an arrow coming off the corners.

Rock on!

PS - greetings from Al Udeid AB Qatar. Thanks for keeping me in the loop while deployed!

Picked this up on another site. Its from the Nurenburgring site. Thought you might like to see it:

"The Ring is, quite simply, the ultimate driving experience. 13 miles and at least 73* bends add up to what even racing drivers describe as the most demanding circuit in the world. It's hard to describe just how good it is until you've been there, but if you can imagine your favourite mountain road and your favourite race-track, and combine the best bits of the two, you'll get the general idea. (*There are various different figures quoted, depending on what you count as a bend - look at the photo to get an idea of the difficulty of counting them - but the official number is 73.)"

My Z06 sounds and makes alot more noise.
LOL. (might look better too...! hehe!)

Thanks for the video.

-Bill.

For those who can see the video...look closely at the shots where the C6 nose is visible. You will see, I think for the first time, a better picture of what we can expect. Looks like a one piece slotted opening that goes across the whole nose, with maybe a screen type cover like a Z06.

I couldn't download a freeze frame of the movie to illustrate this. Does anyone have the capability?
